Inaugural Student-Run Clinic Hackathon

Join us Saturday, February 24th from 2-3pm for the Society of Student-Run Free Clinics Conference’s 1st Hackathon hosted by the Journal of Student-Run Clinics.

Who: We want innovative and thoughtful change-makers from student-run free clinics across the nation.

What: hackathon [hak-uh-thon], noun

  1. A collaborative, time-limited event in which participants work together in small teams to prototype solutions to various problems*

*This concept applies to addressing issues shared by student-run clinics. JSRC will follow up with teams to facilitate implementation and scholarship around the resulting projects.

When: Saturday, February 24th from 2-3pm

Where: University of Nebraska Medical Center

Why: The goals of this event are to promote cross-clinic collaboration and sharing of ideas for improvement of student-run clinics. We hope this event will also increase confidence of student-run free clinic members in planning multi-institutional projects. This event is the first of its kind at the conference. We will share problems that we face individually at our clinics and together, we will create solutions.
